New record set in college basketball

Completely getting blown aside to Super Bowl XLVIII in New Jersey,

6’5″ senior guard Travis Bader broke the NCAA Division One record for most three point field goals made in a career at 458 (it happened with 6:17 remaining in the first half in their Horizon League contest), passing the record set by former Duke star guard J.J. Redick.

For the record, Wisconsin-Milwaukee won this Horizon League game 86-64.  In the process, the UWM Panthers nailed down 13 treys while the Golden Grizzlies made 10.

And you can make it five Top 10 teams suffering losses on Super Weekend 2014–as Michigan, #10 in the last Associated Press poll fell at Indiana on Sunday afternoon 63-52 as Yogi Ferrell deposited 27 points as Tom Cream’s Big Red Hoosiers keep their flickering NCAA Tournament hopes alive at least for another few days.

For the record–my favorite Super Bowl commercial was the couple pretending to like peanut butter and chocolate, and then the Butterfinger guy gets right in the middle.  But for the most part, a solid majority of the ads were not really funny unlike in the last couple of years.
