First month of season ends with many teams jockeying for seed position

Time for a post-Turkey edition of Stock Up, Stock Down before the majority of the ACC-Big Ten Challenge takes over our TV screens over the next two nights.

Kansas, for surviving a gutsy squad from Michigan State 61-56 on Sunday in the final game of the Orlando Classic.  Perry Ellis led everyone in scoring with 17 points and 9 rebounds.

Western Michigan, who used a David Brown layup with one second showing on the clock to upend San Diego at the Wooden Legacy Tournament in Anaheim, 68-66 on Sunday night.

Gonzaga, for winning the Preseason NIT on Friday over a determined and hungry group from the host school of St. John’s (New York).

To the tournament losers.

Stay tuned for tonight’s action on ESPN and ESPN2:

Illinois at Miami (Florida)

Syracuse at Michigan

Ohio State at Louisville

Should be fun.
