Get ready for lots of calls for “Onions, Baby Onions, Double Order” during the Final Four.
One of the nicest guys in the business, and longtime CBS Sports studio/game analyst Bill Raftery will get his chance as one of the top analysts after over 20 years describing the Final Four for Westwood One radio. Just like last year, TBS will handle “Super Saturday” during both national semifinals and CBS will air its’ 34th consecutive national championship game (a streak that will end next year).
Also joining Jim Nantz and Raftery is two-time NCAA champion from Duke (1991-1992) and recently retired NBA star Grant Hill. All three men will make their debut along with returning sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson during the upcoming Big Ten Tournament semifinals and final game on March 14 and 15 just hours before the tournament draw is released. The trio will also cover a prominent second/third (future first/second) round game the following weekend and a Sweet 16 round for TBS and CBS the following week.
As is custom, the rest of the tournament announcing field will be announced sometime in early March.
