St. Mary’s stuns Gonzaga at the Kennel

Gaels sweep season series from Gonzaga for the first time since 1995

The 63-58 final gives St. Mary’s of California the inside track on the West Coast Conference’s regular season crown and potential NCAA Tournament bid.

For Gonzaga, they would have to mostly certainly win the WCC postseason touranment in Las Vegas to keep their NCAA hopes alive.

Other key games of interest on Saturday night included Georgia Tech upending Notre Dame on a last second tip-in and Buddy Hield surpassed 2,000 points for his collegiate career as Oklahoma got the better of West Virginia.

Also, Xavier set up their much anticipated showdown with Villanova on Wednesday night with a huge win on Saturday.

See you all next week with hopefully another edition of “Under the Microscope.”
Pleasant dreams, everybody.
