UConn Women Make History In Winning 100 Straight Games

The remarkable streak has lasted over two full calendar years

Monday night’s victim was sixth ranked South Carolina.  Most people thought that Dawn Staley’s crew was the perfect group to pull off the upset and end the longest streak in college sports history–but it was not to be.

With several former greats on hand from Sue Bird to Maya Moore and the first ever four time Most Outstanding Player award winner from 2013-2016 in Breanna Stewart, Gampel Pavilion was simply electric.

The final score was 66-55 as the Lady Huskies and Head Coach Geno Auriemma continue to pile up the victories.  By becoming the fourth team, men or women to reach 100 straight wins in all of NCAA history, this streak is simply unbelievable.  That is all I can say about this incredible feat.

Want one more cool stat?  98 of their 100 wins have been in double digits.  This means they have only played in two very close games since late 2014.
