The Jacksonville State Gamecocks have pulled off the impossible in upsetting top seeded Belmont 65-59 in the semifinals of the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament in Nashville.  This is the fourth straight season that the top seed in the OVC failed to win their conference’s automatic bid–with Belmont the last to accomplish the double feat in 2013.

Defending the three point shot was key for Jacksonville State as the school will make its’ first ever appearance in the OVC title game on Saturday night.  They await the winner of Murray State against Tennessee Martin.

Wichita State won easily 82-56 over Bradley in the third of the four Missouri Valley quarterfinal games in St. Louis.  The Shockers await the survivor of the game between Missouri State and Northern Iowa.

Campbell continues to roll, beating up Radford 66-50 in the Big South semifinal, as they await the winner of Winthrop and Gardner-Webb.  Winthrop trailed 33-32 with 16:17 to play in the second half.
