Ray Harper worked his coaching magic again.  Devoted fans remember when he guided Western Kentucky to two consecutive NCAA appearances in 2012 and 2013.

This time, not only did the Gamecocks earned their 20th win in the last game for the old Nashville Municipal Auditorium, Jacksonville State is the first school to punch their tickets to the 2017 NCAA Tournament in a convincing 66-55 win over the second seed of Tennessee Martin (who lost in the final in 2016 to the then 8 seed of Austin Peay).

Couple that with Northwestern, we will have two new schools making their first appearance in the Big Dance.  So thrilled to have some new teams in the mix for a change.
