Archie Miller leaves Dayton to become new coach at Indiana

According to Jeff Goodman of ESPN, the deal reached Saturday in Bloomington is for seven years.  Financial terms were not disclosed.

Archie Miller is one of the hottest coaching commodities in the game today.  Although he spent six years at Dayton, but his last four seasons were the most impressive.  His Flyers teams won at least 24 games in each of the last four seasons.  Those teams also managed to reach the NCAA Tournament, and during this past season claimed the Atlantic 10 regular season title

Only time will tell come January 2018 if Indiana against Illinois and new coach Brad Underwood will evoke certain memories of when Bob Knight and Lou Henson exchanged pleasantries at times before their contentious rivalry during the Big Ten’s last big heyday took place.
